Tinka Resources Ltd. is a junior mineral exploration company, which engages in the acquisition and exploration of base and precious metal mineral properties in Peru. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. The firm is engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties located in Peru. The Company’s flagship property is the Ayawilca Zinc-Silver-tin project, located 200 kilometers (km) northeast of Lima, in the Pasco region of central Peru. The Ayawilca Zinc-Silver project is located 40 km northwest of the Cerro de Pasco mine (copper-zinc-lead-silver), and 100 km south of the giant Antamina mine (copper-zinc). Its Silvia Project consists of 16 granted concessions for 10,906 hectares, located in the Department of Huanuco in central Peru. The project lies approximately 80 km south and along the strike of Antamina. The firm has also granted with two mining concessions totaling 1,200 hectares, namely the Pampahuasi Property. The Colquipucro area is a silver (oxidized) deposit located 1.5 km north of the Ayawilca Zinc Zone.
