This emerging belt, informally referred to as the Link Belt, hosts several copper gold porphyry deposits at various stages of development, including Filo del Sol (Lundin Mining/BHP), Josemaria (Lundin Mining/BHP), Lunahausi (NGEx Minerals), La Fortuna (Teck Resources/Newmont) and El Encierro (Antofagasta/Barrick Gold). The Valeriano Project, located 125 kilometers southeast of the City of Vallenar, Atacama Region, northern Chile, sits adjacent to the southern border of the El Encierro Project. The elevation at the Valeriano Project varies between 3,800 to 4,400 meters above sea level.
