Accio Work Platform Launched to Serve 10M+ Users
Alibaba International officially launched Accio Work on March 23, its first enterprise-grade intelligent agent designed to automate complex business operations for overseas small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The platform requires no coding or setup, deploying specialized AI agents to handle tasks ranging from market analysis and supplier negotiations to real-time customs documentation across more than 100 markets.
This launch marks a significant expansion of the Accio AI engine, first introduced in November 2024 as a business-to-business sourcing tool. The service has since grown into a full-scale agent platform serving over 10 million monthly active users globally. By offering a "plug-and-play" solution, Alibaba aims to equip small businesses with operational capabilities that were previously exclusive to large corporations, positioning Accio Work as a practical tool rather than a generalist AI model.
Alibaba Pivots to Specialized AI, Separates Cloud Unit
The release of Accio Work is a direct result of Alibaba's broader strategic reorganization. The company recently separated its AI businesses from its cloud computing arm to create the new Alibaba Token Hub business group. This structural change signals a clear pivot toward developing specialized digital assistants and agentic AI that can perform complex, vertical-specific tasks, moving beyond the capabilities of traditional Q&A chatbots.
Accio Work is designed to lower the barrier to entry for entrepreneurs with a freemium model; core features are available with a complimentary token allowance, with usage beyond the limit billed per token and no monthly subscription fee. The platform also addresses enterprise security concerns by using sandboxed environments and requiring explicit user approval for high-stakes actions involving finances or private files.
Our vision is to democratize enterprise-grade AI. We want every entrepreneur, regardless of team size, to access an intelligent workforce that operates with the scale of a major corporation.
