Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin will speak at the April 21 launch of a new community hub in Hong Kong, the first physical center in Asia to receive support from the Ethereum Foundation.
Buterin's participation alongside Ethereum Foundation Executive Director Aya Miyaguchi was confirmed for the opening event, according to an announcement from the hub's operators, SNZ and ETHTAO.
The new Ethereum Community Hub is located in West Kowloon. It aims to foster development and community engagement for the Ethereum ecosystem throughout the Asian region.
The foundation's backing of a physical hub in Hong Kong signals a strategic focus on Asia, potentially attracting more developers and capital to the region's Web3 sector ahead of the city's expected approval of spot Ether ETFs.
