Nasdaq-listed Tron Inc. (TRON) added 154,494 TRX to its corporate treasury at an average price of $0.3236, pushing its total holdings to more than 693.3 million tokens and continuing its strategy of using digital assets to build long-term shareholder value.
The company disclosed the purchase through its official channels, pointing to a publicly verifiable wallet on the Tron blockchain where the assets are held. This approach of on-chain transparency allows investors to monitor the treasury's activity in real time, a contrast to the periodic attestations used by some other corporate treasury programs.
The latest acquisition is part of a steady, near-daily accumulation program that has steadily increased the company's digital asset treasury. The strategy mirrors the playbook established by MicroStrategy's Michael Saylor, where a public company issues equity and debt to accumulate a specific digital asset, marketing its stock as a proxy for that asset's value. While other firms have attempted similar models with assets on chains like Ethereum and Solana, Tron Inc. has become the largest publicly traded holder of TRX.
This large-scale accumulation by the parent entity could create a perceived price floor for TRX and reduce the freely circulating supply. Alongside its treasury program, Tron Inc. announced a $1 billion fund to foster AI development within the TRON ecosystem and an initiative to build a quantum-resistant blockchain, signaling a focus on expanding the network's utility and technological resilience.
