TermiX launches mainnet as AI crypto market tops $18 billion

TermiX launched its mainnet and released Agent.family, an AI agent marketplace built on BNB Chain, on July 7.

"Agent.family represents a new distribution layer for autonomous agents within the BNB ecosystem," a TermiX spokesperson said.

The dual announcement pairs a protocol-level infrastructure milestone with an ecosystem-facing product. Agent.family allows users to deploy, discover, and interact with AI agents through a single marketplace interface, with all transactions settled on BNB Smart Chain. The launch follows a broader push by projects building AI agent tooling on BNB Chain, including MemeToro's recent introduction of an AI-powered memecoin creation platform and prediction markets on the same network.

The launch positions TermiX as both an AI agent platform and a distribution layer within the BNB Chain ecosystem. With the AI crypto sector's combined market capitalization at roughly $18 billion to $28 billion, according to CoinMarketCap, the race among layer-1 networks to attract AI agent activity is intensifying. BNB Chain now competes with Ethereum, Solana, and other networks for developer mindshare in the emerging agent economy.

Agent.family is designed to reduce the technical barriers associated with deploying autonomous agents on-chain. Users can browse existing agents, deploy new ones using pre-built templates, and track agent performance without writing smart contract code from scratch, according to the company.

TermiX's mainnet launch provides the underlying infrastructure for settlement, agent coordination, and on-chain data storage. The protocol uses BNB Smart Chain's low transaction fees and high throughput to support real-time agent interactions, the company said.

The AI agent category has become one of the most actively developed segments in crypto, with projects spanning autonomous trading bots, portfolio management tools, and decentralized compute networks. BNB Chain's push into the space comes as networks compete to capture developer activity and total value locked from AI-related applications.
