Render (RENDER) rose 4.8% to $1.58 as of 13:00 UTC, leading a rebound in AI-focused crypto tokens as derivatives data showed renewed trader conviction. The decentralized GPU token on Solana has reclaimed its 20-day exponential moving average after repeatedly defending the $1.50 support zone.
"The simultaneous increase in futures volume and open interest suggests fresh capital entering the market rather than short-term speculative positioning," according to CoinGlass data. RENDER futures volume jumped 57% to $39.7 million over the past 24 hours, while open interest rose 4.13% to $44.1 million. Unlike rallies driven solely by spot buying, rising open interest alongside price gains typically reflects growing market conviction among derivatives traders.
The rally comes as the broader AI token sector shows signs of stabilization after weeks of underperformance. Other AI-related tokens including Fetch.ai and Bittensor also posted gains, though Render led the group with the strongest volume expansion. Render operates a decentralized GPU network that allows users to contribute computing power for AI rendering tasks, positioning it as a crypto-native alternative to centralized cloud providers. The token has formed a falling wedge pattern on the daily chart, a bullish reversal structure that often appears near the end of prolonged corrections. The next resistance sits at the 50-day EMA near $1.62, with a more critical barrier between $1.80 and $1.86 where the descending trendline converges with the 200-day EMA. The relative strength index has turned up from oversold territory toward a neutral reading near 44, leaving room before the token looks overbought.
A decisive breakout above that confluence would invalidate the series of lower highs that has dominated Render's price action since June and open the path toward the $2.00 psychological level. If buyers fail to hold support above $1.50, the token could remain trapped within its current consolidation range. The funding question around AI infrastructure buildout costs — a theme that has weighed on related equities like IREN, which carries a $21.1 billion funding gap according to Blocksbridge Consulting — may cap upside for GPU-focused tokens if macro headwinds persist.
