Pump.fun deprecated its Tokenized Agent launch option on June 30, ending AI-agent token creation on the Solana memecoin platform after community requests.
Pump.fun removed its Tokenized Agent launch option on June 30, effective immediately, ending AI-agent token creation on the Solana memecoin platform after community requests.
"We've deprecated the Tokenized Agent launch option, effective immediately," Pump.fun said in a statement on Tuesday, citing community feedback as the reason for the removal.
The deprecation follows a period of heightened scrutiny for the platform. PUMP, the platform's token, fell 9.1% to $0.001261 on June 30, hitting a new all-time low of $0.001232 during the session, according to CoinGecko data. The token is down 28.7% over the past month and trades 85.7% below its all-time high of $0.008819 from September 2025. Trading volume remained elevated at $61.2 million over 24 hours.
The removal could slow the AI-agent token narrative on Solana, potentially reducing new token launch volume on a platform where 68.67% of 18.67 million tokens created stopped trading on their launch day, per CoinGecko research. Only 4.55% remained active beyond 90 days.
Insider Allegations and Legal Pressure
The deprecation coincided with fresh allegations from X user Mai (@Insidevoicer), who posted claims from three confidential witnesses alleging insider token sales and an undisclosed profit-sharing arrangement between Pump.fun and DexScreener. Pump.fun has not publicly confirmed the claims, which have not been independently verified.
Pump.fun's parent company, Baton Corporation, is recruiting a Chief Legal Officer with a base salary of $1 million to $5 million to oversee compliance across SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, OFAC, FCA and MiCA jurisdictions. The company said Pump.fun processes more than $300 million in daily trading volume and generated over $500 million in profit during the past year with fewer than 100 employees.
