Heliostar Metals Ltd. (TSXV: HSTR) announced on April 9, 2026, that it has drilled 101.0 metres grading 5.34 grams per tonne (g/t) gold at its Ana Paula project in Guerrero, Mexico, significantly expanding the project's high-grade core.
"These results are a major step forward in demonstrating the larger scale potential of Ana Paula," a company spokesperson said. "The grades and lengths of mineralization are impressive and point to a robust mineralizing system."
The headline intercept, starting from a depth of 512.5 metres, is part of the company's ongoing drilling program in the Expansion Zone. Other notable results include 8.75 metres grading 9.11 g/t gold from 484.65 metres, 27.2 metres grading 2.26 g/t gold from 647.0 metres, and 7.15 metres grading 6.98 g/t gold from 464.3 metres. These results are expected to positively impact the project's resource model.
The high-grade intercept remains open to the north and south, and results are pending from an additional five holes in the Expansion Zone. This discovery could significantly increase the size of the Ana Paula deposit, which would be a critical development for a junior mining company like Heliostar. For comparison, peer projects in the Guerrero Gold Belt have proven to be of significant scale, and these results position Ana Paula favorably within the region.
