Ethereum gained 1.09% to $1,921, testing $1,918 resistance not cleared since July 29, ahead of Trump's White House crypto meeting.
"White House hosting major crypto meeting this week... IMO, administration not waiting around for Clarity Act," Nate Geraci, president of Nova Dius Wealth, said. "Predict this meeting will strongly reinforce that message."
The Fear and Greed Index climbed from 27 to 41, lifting total crypto market cap to $2.2 trillion, up 0.29 percent, per CoinGecko. CLARITY Act odds fall to 21% as Trump hosts crypto executives
Trump is expected to meet executives from Coinbase, Ripple, Gemini, Kalshi, Chainlink Labs and Andreessen Horowitz at the White House on Aug. 19, alongside SEC Chair Paul Atkins, CFTC Chair Michael Selig, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. The CFTC's Innovation Advisory Committee holds its first meeting on Aug. 20.
The CLARITY Act's passage odds have fallen sharply from an 82 percent peak on Feb. 19 to roughly 19 percent on Polymarket, with Galaxy Digital estimating just 10 percent. The Senate Banking Committee advanced the bill 15-9 on May 14, but unresolved disputes over stablecoin rewards, illicit finance measures and ethics provisions tied to Trump's crypto businesses have stalled progress.
ETH targets $2,000 as SOL eyes $83 breakout
ETH has failed to close above $1,918 since July 29. The RSI at 58 shows bullish momentum, and three consecutive days of buyers outpacing sellers support a potential breakout. A close above $1,918 for three straight days could target $2,000, while failure risks a pullback to $1,880 support.
SOL's $77 level also marks the resistance of a cup-and-handle pattern, with a close above potentially targeting $83. PUMP needs to defend $0.0029 support to confirm a sustained uptrend, with the 123.6 percent Fibonacci level at $0.0032 as the next target.
