EdgeMode Expands Spanish AI Pipeline to 4.35 GW
EdgeMode, Inc. (OTC: EDGM) significantly enhanced its joint venture with Blackberry AIF on March 25, accelerating its AI infrastructure pipeline to 4.35 gigawatts (4,350 MW) in Spain. The agreement positions the company to build the largest AI infrastructure development portfolio in Europe, aiming to capitalize on the explosive demand for high-performance computing from hyperscalers and AI operators.
EdgeMode's strategy directly targets the primary constraints in the AI industry: power availability and deployment speed. By focusing on developing power-secured campuses, which can operate independently of grid connections, the company plans to deliver scalable infrastructure to clients more quickly than traditional methods allow. This approach is designed to attract major infrastructure investors and AI companies seeking rapid, large-scale deployments.
Project Taps Soaring Demand for AI Factories
The company's aggressive expansion aligns with a global race to build massive "AI factories" to power next-generation artificial intelligence. Major technology firms are investing billions to secure the necessary compute capacity, creating immense demand for data center space and energy. For instance, AWS announced plans to deploy over one million NVIDIA GPUs, while NVIDIA itself partnered with cloud provider Nebius to deploy over 5 gigawatts of systems by 2030, underscoring the enormous scale of infrastructure required.
This agreement represents a major milestone for EdgeMode. Expanding our development pipeline to 4.35GW and strengthening our partnership with Blackberry AIF positions us as the largest AI infrastructure developer in Europe.
— Charlie Faulkner, CEO of EdgeMode.
Faulkner noted that the company's "power-first development strategy" is critical in a market where demand for AI compute continues to outstrip the supply of readily available energy. By securing power resources before construction, EdgeMode aims to reduce timelines and capture a significant share of the European AI infrastructure build-out.
