Citi Research opened a 30-day positive catalyst watch on Anta Sports (2020.HK), expecting the sportswear giant’s first-quarter 2026 sales to beat both company guidance and market consensus.
"The Fila business re-accelerated growth over the past two quarters, demonstrating the strength from the transformation under new leadership since 1Q25," Citi Research said in a note.
The bank’s positive outlook is driven by the performance of Anta’s three major business segments: the Anta brand, Fila, and other brands. Citi highlighted the successful turnaround of the Fila brand, which has seen growth re-accelerate over the last two quarters. The bank forecasts that the main Anta brand will experience a sharp acceleration in growth in the second half of 2026, mirroring Fila's recent success.
This expected outperformance in the first quarter, combined with potential shareholding increases by major shareholders, underpins Citi's positive stance. The bank believes these factors will strengthen Anta Sports' long-term position as a global multi-brand sportswear operator. Investors will be closely watching the company's upcoming Q1 2026 sales report for confirmation of this trend.
