American Resources joins Russell 3000, Microcap indexes in 2026 reconstitution

American Resources Corp. will join the Russell 3000 and Russell Microcap indexes after the U.S. market close on June 26, FTSE Russell said.

"We believe this milestone reflects the continued evolution of American Resources and enhances the Company's visibility within the institutional investment community," Mark LaVerghetta, Director at American Resources, said.

The Russell 3000 Index represents approximately 98 percent of the investable U.S. equity market, while the Russell Microcap Index captures the microcap segment. FTSE Russell's preliminary additions lists included AREC for both indexes as part of the 2026 annual reconstitution.

Index inclusion typically triggers forced buying from passive funds that track these benchmarks, potentially boosting trading volume and institutional interest in the Fishers, Indiana-based critical mineral supply chain company. The newly reconstituted indexes take effect following the close of U.S. markets today.

American Resources operates across the rare earth and critical mineral supply chain, leveraging its affiliation with ReElement Technologies Corp., a provider of high-performance refining capacity for rare earth and critical battery elements. The company's operations span conventional and unconventional resource sourcing, recycling and manufacturing, enabling it to aggregate diverse feedstocks and align supply with end-market demand across advanced manufacturing, defense, energy and other strategic sectors.

Membership in the Russell indexes provides inclusion within benchmarks widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and related investment products. The Russell 3000 is designed to represent approximately 98 percent of the investable U.S. equity market, while the Russell Microcap Index targets the microcap segment of U.S. equities.
