Lume Launches $25,000 SOL Giveaway to Acquire Users
Lume, a decentralized bandwidth-sharing platform, has initiated a marketing campaign to distribute $25,000 in SOL tokens to early adopters. The airdrop is designed as a user acquisition strategy ahead of the platform's formal launch, rewarding individuals who register and submit a Solana wallet address. This approach aims to build a foundational community without requiring any capital investment or complex on-chain interactions from participants.
Giveaway Selects 1,365 Winners Through Randomized Tiers
The $25,000 prize pool is structured across a five-tiered, randomized selection process. The distribution is heavily weighted toward smaller rewards to maximize the number of winners, with 1,000 participants set to receive $5 each. The structure also includes 300 winners of $20, 50 winners of $100, 10 winners of $500, and five grand-prize winners receiving $1,000 each in SOL. The only requirement for eligibility is creating an account on the Lume platform and providing a non-custodial Solana wallet address, such as Phantom or Solflare.
Platform Aims to Monetize Idle Bandwidth on Solana
Lume's underlying business model is to create a peer-to-peer marketplace where users can monetize their unused internet bandwidth by contributing it to a distributed network. In return, participants will earn the platform's native Lume Coins. The project is built on the Solana blockchain to leverage its high transaction speeds and low fees, which are essential for processing the high volume of micro-rewards anticipated from millions of participating devices. Lume has not yet announced a Token Generation Event (TGE) or a specific date for the SOL reward distribution.
