The company is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo. The company went IPO on 2006-05-02. Its core business consists of the acquisition, development, operation and sale of rural properties suitable for agricultural activities. The firm's activities are carried out through one operating segment: commercialization of properties, through purchase, sale or lease, and the production and commercialization of agricultural products. BrasilAgro is a producer of grains, cotton, sugar cane, and livestock. The firm actively manages its operations by combining the returns generated from BrasilAgro’s properties and operations, while mitigating weather and crop risks through geographic diversification and by obtaining high yields on the rural properties.
