Crypto and blockchain companies announced roughly $1.3 billion in financing across six disclosed deals in the week through Aug. 22, led by a $1 billion noncash token contribution to Nasdaq-listed ZeroStack.
Crypto and blockchain companies announced about $1.298 billion across six disclosed transactions between Aug. 16 and Aug. 22, led by a $1 billion token contribution to Nasdaq-listed ZeroStack.
"This transaction represents a defining milestone not only for ZeroStack, but for the broader digital asset industry," Daniel Reis-Faria, chief executive officer of ZeroStack, said.
Ripple Prime raised $275 million through senior unsecured notes to fund its prime brokerage expansion, while NeoSoul secured $11 million for AI trading infrastructure. Smaller rounds funded privacy, DeFi credit delegation, and Solana storage projects.
The total includes debt and a noncash token contribution, so it should not be read as $1.298 billion in conventional venture capital. The remaining disclosed cash rounds raised about $23 million, with one additional strategic investment excluded because its value was not disclosed.
ZeroStack's $1B token deal
ZeroStack agreed to receive $1 billion in MemeCore ($M) tokens from Puple AI and Blockcat in exchange for 3.5 million common shares and pre-funded warrants covering as many as 36.2 million additional shares. The securities were priced at $25.19 per share, more than 12 times ZeroStack's recent trading price when the deal was announced.
The contribution consists of about 925.9 million $M tokens valued at $1.08 each. Warrant exercise requires shareholder approval under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635, and issued shares carry lockups of up to 10 years. MemeCore principal Rudy Rong will become ZeroStack's president. The stock jumped 169.55 percent in the Aug. 19 session after the announcement, with trading volume at 1,285.7 times its daily average.
Ripple's $275M debt raise
Ripple Prime raised $275 million through an upsized private offering of senior unsecured notes to institutional investors. Ripple did not disclose the interest rate, maturity, or participating investors. Proceeds will support U.S. expansion of its prime brokerage, which covers financing, clearing, and services across digital and traditional assets.
The unit, built through Ripple's $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road, serves institutional clients in crypto, foreign exchange, derivatives, swaps, and fixed income. The notes follow a $200 million credit facility from Neuberger Berman funds in May, giving the brokerage $475 million in combined capacity.
Smaller rounds
NeoSoul completed an $11 million pre-Series A round with participation from MH Ventures, Amber Group, ArkStream Capital, 0G Foundation, Kirin Capital, CatcherVC, and New Oak International. The company is building NeoTrade, an AI trading platform on BNB Chain and 0G that lets users configure agents to analyze markets and execute trades under defined controls.
Beldex raised $8 million led by Sigma Capital for its privacy layer, bringing cumulative funding to $36 million. Twyne secured $2.5 million in seed funding co-led by Cyber Fund and Ethereal Ventures for its DeFi credit delegation layer, which lets lending-market depositors transfer unused borrowing capacity to other users. Solana infrastructure project Botanika closed a $1.5 million round backed by CRIT Ventures, Baboon VC, Marblex, and Daedalus for its Nimbus storage hardware.
Blueprint Finance completed an undisclosed strategic round led by Polychain Capital, with participation from BitGo, FalconX, Bullish, and Keyrock, to expand Concrete, its non-custodial vault infrastructure for institutions.
The week's mix of token-for-equity, debt, and early-stage cash deals shows capital flowing into crypto infrastructure across AI trading, privacy, and prime brokerage, even as the largest headline figure reflects a noncash exchange rather than fresh operating capital. Investors will watch whether ZeroStack's shareholder vote clears the warrant issuance and how Ripple deploys its expanded brokerage capacity through the rest of 2026.
