Key Takeaways:
- edgeX lists UNITREE perpetual under USDC pair
- Unitree 2025 revenue reached 1.699 billion yuan
- IPO demand exceeded 5,500x available supply
Key Takeaways:

edgeX listed a UNITREE perpetual under a USDC pair on Aug. 11, offering traders leveraged exposure to Unitree Robotics as the Chinese robot maker's Shanghai IPO drew demand exceeding 5,500 times available supply.
The perpetual is a narrative exposure instrument that does not grant shares, voting rights or any stake in the company, edgeX said in a Medium post announcing the listing. The Hangzhou-based firm combines in-house manufacturing, vertical component integration and an embedded intelligence program under the UnifoLM brand.
Unitree recorded revenue of 1.699 billion yuan in 2025 with a gross margin of 60.13 percent in its core business. The company priced its initial public offering at 150.8 yuan ($22.34) per share, valuing it at about 61 billion yuan ($9.04 billion), according to a filing on Aug. 6. Retail demand exceeded 5,500 times the available supply, per the Financial Times.
The listing comes as Unitree founder Wang Xingxing, 36, has amassed an estimated fortune of $2.4 billion, according to Forbes. The company shipped more than 5,500 humanoid robots in 2025, the highest volume globally, and sold more than 33,000 quadruped robots between 2023 and 2025, according to its prospectus. Chinese companies account for roughly 80 percent of humanoid robots shipped worldwide, with annual shipments reaching 14,400 units, CCTV News reported.
To accompany the launch, edgeX is running a campaign from Aug. 11 to 18 that includes a 100 percent trading fee rebate, an incentive of up to 20 $EDGE for new users and a prize pool of up to 10,000 USDC distributed among the top 30 traders by volume.
The listing reflects growing demand for crypto derivatives tied to high-profile tech companies. Unitree's IPO on Shanghai's STAR Market, which plans to raise 6.1 billion yuan with Chinese AI startup DeepSeek among its strategic investors, has put physical AI in the investor spotlight. A growing number of Chinese robotics startups, including Deep Robotics, Leju Robotics, AgiBot and LimX Dynamics, are preparing to enter public markets, which could drive further listings of robotics-linked perpetuals on crypto platforms. Trading volume for the new UNITREE market was not yet disclosed at the time of listing.
