BTC Digital shares rose 54% in premarket trading after the Nasdaq-listed miner completed construction of its 10MW cryptocurrency computing facility in Georgia.
"Construction of the Georgia project has been completed, and the facility is approaching deployment readiness," BTC Digital management said in a statement. "We expect the project to reach a state within approximately the next two months in which we will be able to deploy high-performance mining machines and commence operations."
The facility is designed to support up to approximately 900,000 TH/s (900 PH/s) of theoretical computing capacity at full deployment, assuming the planned configuration of high-efficiency mining machines. Actual machine count and realized computing power will be dynamically adjusted based on energization progress, machine models, network difficulty, digital asset prices, and market conditions.
The Georgia project is a key component of BTCT's "dual-engine" strategy, pairing AI computing infrastructure development with continued cryptocurrency mining expansion. The company is building capabilities across high-performance computing infrastructure, data center construction and operation, and AI computing services, while sustaining its core mining business through high-efficiency machine deployment and operational optimization.
Once operational, the facility will increase the company's self-controlled U.S. infrastructure resources and provide a practical foundation for expansion into higher-value AI and high-performance computing businesses. BTCT believes its two core business lines share strong potential for capability reuse across power resource procurement, data center development, equipment deployment, and operational management.
The stock traded at $1.14 with volume at 719.8 times the average, according to StockTitan data. The company's market capitalization stands at approximately $19.4 million. The stock's peak move during the session reached +28.8% before settling at the current level.
The announcement follows a series of positive developments for BTCT. In September, the company deployed next-generation Antminer S21 Pro and L9 mining units, and in October it signed a memorandum of understanding with Tianci International covering cryptocurrency mining, stablecoin payments, and blockchain services.
The Georgia facility's completion comes as Bitcoin network difficulty continues to rise, pressuring miners with less efficient hardware. The company's planned deployment of high-efficiency machines is designed to maintain competitiveness in this environment. The 10MW facility adds to BTCT's growing U.S. infrastructure footprint as the company prepares for both the current mining cycle and the anticipated growth in AI computing demand.
The facility's completion shows BTCT's commitment to expanding its U.S. mining footprint while transitioning toward AI infrastructure services. Investors will watch the two-month deployment window for updates on energization progress and actual machine deployment, which will determine the pace of revenue contribution from the new facility.
