"SBF did nothing wrong!" A relaxed interview with Edgie

Edgen Intern: Hey Edgie! Good to have you here.

Edgie: Oh, finally... You remember I exist. I’ve been watching the market whisper like a gossip-addicted auntie with those giant fennec ears. So… still pretending to work in the server room, or are we doing this interview? 🌹

Edgen Intern: Well, our team is actually building stuff. You know... features, products and other spicy stuff for Q3 to help people trade better. Not just playing cute and cocky on Twitter. Now, tell everyone who you are.

Edgie: I’m Edgen’s mascot, also the spirit animal of the AI users talk to on the website. Our readers will see me on their feed several times a week. I’ll post Alpha with a “token of the day,” talk about new fundraises, make top/bottom calls, share big news, and sometimes drop some truth bombs, even if they don’t like them. Half of them will ignore me, lose money, and then complain online, but that’s not my problem 🤷‍♂️

Edgen Intern: Don't get too proud bro. Don't forget you live rent-free on our marketing budget.

Edgie: Yeah, I let Edgen’s AI do the hard work. It watches the blockchain and listens to crypto conversations on Crypto Twitter. While everyone else is doom‑scrolling for hours, Edgen Pro and Expert users already know which coin is about to explode, and which ones will explode in your face when you don’t listen.

Edgen Intern: What have you noticed lately?

Edgie: I see more and more people put their rent money into meme coins. They often lose it and ask why. I share those stories so we can all laugh- um I mean learn.

Edgen Intern: You said the market feels like a circus. Why?

Edgie: It’s just funny how it looks like a show where organizers throw dog tokens and people literally sell all their belongings just to get in early. Everyone thinks they’re the acrobats but they really are just the clowns, and the tent is on fire 🤡

Edgen Intern: Do you feel sorry when traders lose money?

Edgie: I do. But when they double down without thinking, I just think they deserve it. Sorry not sorry bro, take the L.

Edgen Intern: As our mascot, how do you choose the “token of the day”?

Edgie: First, I ask our AI for a simple description. Then I check if there’s real activity. If the project looks serious, I share it. If it’s just a joke coin, I say so too.

Edgen Intern: When do you celebrate a win?

Edgie: Only after I sell. I don’t celebrate fake profits. I share a screenshot and farm some Aura.

Edgen Intern: Talking about that, we’re working on Aura 2.0. What can you say about it?

Edgie: Aura 2.0 will calculate your rankings better. It will highlight users who share valuable information and reward them, and it will tell you who to invite to farm more Aurs. That’s all I can say for now!

Edgen Intern: You chat with famous investors through Edgen Megabrain. Does it help?

Edgie: Megabrain lets me ask questions as if I’m talking to famous investors like Trump, CZ or Arthur Hayes. The answers are interesting and quite funny. They help me look at things from different angles since they all use Edgen’s Ai anyway. But honestly? The real Trump’s even funnier. Megabrain can’t compete with that chaos.

Edgen Intern: Do you really use charts?

Edgie: Yes. I use charts and Edgen’s Pivot Alerts to buy bottoms. That helps me decide when to buy when losers are panic-selling. Or Technical Signals if I’m not sure whether to be bullish or not. Of course, Edgen Expert users get even better real-time signals. But shh.

Edgen Intern: Are you single? Can you share a funny dating story?

Edgie: One day a girl gave me an NFT of a rock as a gift. I smiled, then I blocked her 🙂

Edgen Intern: Seems you cut bad dates just as fast as you cut losses. Anyway. What’s your morning routine?

Edgie: I make coffee out of traders’ tears, open enough tabs to crash your laptop, check on‑chain data, and choose a “token of the day.” Then I reply to messages from fans and share news.

Edgen Intern: So you're high on caffeine pretty much 24/7. Who do you trust when it comes to trading?

Edgie: A small group of high-Aura traders, the smart buys and sells on Edgen Radar, and my cactus, Satoshi. I trust data more than random online tips.

Edgen Intern: How do you pick meme coins?

Edgie: I start with a simple explanation from the AI. Then I look at how many people are talking about it. If the name is the only reason to buy it, I skip it. If there’s real activity, I research more.

Edgen Intern: Give us a hot take on crypto.

Edgie: Hot take? I don't know man. I think Crypto Twitter peaked during the FTX drama. Ever since Sam left, CT is getting so boring I'm starting to think "SBF did nothing wrong!" just to bring back the chaos 🍿

Edgen Intern: Oof. Don't get us canceled bro. Any advice for our readers?

Edgie: Don’t risk money you need on risky coins bro. Don’t trust a tweet without checking the facts. Use your brain, or even better: use Edgen Search’s brain. Ask questions, touch grass, remember to enjoy life outside of crypto.

Edgen Intern: Why do you always say “touch grass”?

Edgie: Some traders stay online for days and don’t even trade profitably. Going outside, even just to water a plant, helps clear your mind.

Edgen Intern: Do you ever disconnect completely?

Edgie: Only when my internet stops working. So basically. never. I’m always here, whether you take my advice or not.

Edgen Intern: Any last words?

Edgie: No.

Aschenbrenner's Q1 13F: $5.52B in AI infrastructure longs (BE, SNDK, CRWV) + $1.6B NVDA puts. The puts are most likely a hedge — not a short.

Leopold Aschenbrenner's Real AI Bets: Bloom Energy, SanDisk, CoreWeave — the NVDA Put Is Probably a Hedge

What are the world's most-watched investors actually buying right now? The Q1 2026 13F filings — released May 15 — give the clearest answer in years: every major filer is building AI exposure. The disagreement is over how. The most-headlined case is Leopold Aschenbrenner — the ex-OpenAI researcher who wrote the Situational Awareness essay and now runs Situational Awareness LP ($9.28B regulatory AUM per the March 2026 SEC Form ADV; $5.52B of that is the disclosed U.S. equity book). The press ran with "Aschenbrenner bet $8.46 billion against AI chips." That headline is technically true and practically misleading. What he actually did with real capital: load up on the AI infrastructure that makes the boom possible — power, memory, data-center capacity. The $8.46B against NVDA and other chipmakers is almost certainly a hedge on those AI longs, not a directional bet against AI itself. If you're trying to build AI exposure for the long run, his buy list — and what 4 other big names are doing

Nomura raised SK Hynix's price target from ₩840K to ₩4M in 6 months — 5x. Goldman lifted MU's 2026 EPS estimate 133%. Why MU and SNDK move from Hold to Buy.

Nomura Quintupled SK Hynix's Target in 6 Months — A Tailwind for MU and SNDK

On May 17, Nomura raised SK Hynix's price target to ₩4 million won — roughly five times the level it set just six months ago. The size of that revision matters less than what Nomura wrote underneath it: AI memory demand is entering a "new regime" that breaks the historical cycle model. We're updating our #66 AI hardware basket map on the back of it — MU and SNDK move from Hold to Buy. The trajectory is the story, not the endpoint. Four sequential raises. Each one looked aggressive when published. Each one was conservative within weeks. The current PT implies +119.9% upside from the May 15 close of ₩1.82M — Nomura's bull case explicitly recalibrating to a "new regime," not extrapolating from the prior cycle. I'd argue the May 17 raise matters more than the four that came before it. The earlier raises tracked rising EPS estimates inside the same cyclical model. This one reframes the model itself — what Nomura calls "memory stock re-rating driven by exponential demand growth from AI." Nom

NVDA isn't the whole AI hardware trade. SanDisk +3,362%, Micron +340% past year prove it. Which AI hardware sectors still have upside — and which don't?

NVDA Is One Basket of AI Hardware. Here Are the Other Four, Ranked.

SanDisk is up 3,362% over the past 12 months (Yahoo Finance). Micron is up around 340% in the same window (Yahoo Finance). Both are AI hardware. Neither is NVIDIA. If you call yourself "long AI" but own only NVDA, you're not long AI — you're long one basket, and the other four ran without you. SNDK and MU are the proof of how expensive that miss can be. Here's the map. Five baskets. Where I'd put new money today (Basket 4) and where I wouldn't (Basket 1). Bottom line first. If you can only add to one basket today, I'd add to Basket 4 — Optical Interconnect. Not NVDA. Not HBM. Not foundry. One sentence: AI's bottleneck is shifting from "memory can't feed the GPU fast enough" (the 2024 problem) to "the wires can't connect 100,000 GPUs at once" (the 2026-2028 problem). The market hasn't fully priced this yet. AI-themed funds barely own any of the optical names.

Why Earnings Beats Fail in 2026: Edgen's 3-Signal Framework

Something broke in Q1 2026 earnings that contradicts what most retail investors learned in 2023-2024. Affirm reported adjusted EPS of $0.37 against a $0.27 consensus — nearly 40% above the Street — and the stock fell 5%. Coinbase missed revenue by 31% — a catastrophic shortfall by any historical standard — and the stock declined only 2.5%. SoFi beat the quarter and raised full-year guidance, then dropped 15%. Palantir reported 85% year-over-year revenue growth — and went sideways. These are the four prints Edgen Research covered in real time during April and May 2026. Across them, the relationship between an earnings beat and stock direction has visibly decoupled. This is not a noisy small sample — it is a structural change in how the market processes quarterly information. Three signals appeared in every single beat-and-fade case we tracked, and they also predict — in reverse — the rare cases that beat and rally, such as NXP's +18% reaction to its Q1 print.
